Your services page is one of the most critical pages on your website. Not only do you reveal your offer to your audience on this page, but you need to make sure that you and your offer stand out from the competition. To do this, you need a few crucial elements.

Reviews
I can’t remember the last time I tried a restaurant or bakery that didn’t have reviews. Can you? It would be best to establish a solid reputation even if that means doing a few small jobs in exchange for a testimonial. People want to know that others have gone before them and come out of the other side, a happy camper.
I’ll be totally honest; great reviews will do more for you than an incredible design or impeccable copywriting ever will. Just saying. Get those reviews!
UX Design
Now that I’ve gotten reviews off my chest, let’s talk about your services page’s design. Your page (and your website, while we’re at it) needs to be user-friendly and look good. That means it should be welcoming, enticing, and aesthetically pleasing.
Basically, the better your website looks, the better your users’ experience will have, and the more likely they will reach out to work with you. 75% of consumers made judgments on a business’s credibility based on their website design.
Plus, having a great user experience rate can increase your conversion rates by up to 400%. This means your website is mobile-friendly, uses content your audience wants to see (if you’re a photographer, display images – if you’re a content creator, maybe you’ll have videos) and is easily navigable.
Headline
Describe your service and the benefits your audience will get from working with you in the headline. Remember, your headline should attract and hold your visitor’s attention enough to keep them reading your page (and ultimately, clicking through to work with you).
Your audience needs to understand exactly what you do right away; otherwise, they will leave your page faster than you can blink twice. Succinctly and clearly describe your services and what your audience will get from working with you.
FAQs
Having answers to frequently asked questions will increase users’ odds of responding to your offer because you’ve helped clarify points and convince them that they want to work with you. You will get inquiries from potential clients that are ready to buy your service – no questions asked (because you’ve already answered all the questions they had)!
If you need a little inspiration, have a look at your competitor’s FAQs. Answer all of the questions they answer and then add a few more.
Incredible copy
I know I mentioned Headlines earlier – but a headline isn’t the only copy you need to worry about on your services page. Remember, your services page is where you are selling your services. Having incredible copy will undoubtedly help you do this.
Arguably, photographers could get away with their photos selling their services for them, but I think even they need excellent copy to really seal the deal. Great copy means you need to use words that convert those website visitors into clients. Which means you need to include:
- An awesome headline (that I’ve already mentioned)
- An introduction: tell them how their life could be better by using your service.
- Credibility: show off case studies or results that add credibility to your words
- An offer: tell them what you do and how you are the solution to their problem.
- Bullet points highlighting the benefits of your solution
- Testimonials: include your reviews (mentioned above)
- Call to action: ask them to buy
